John Hurt as The War Doctor

I was delighted to be asked by the editor of Celestial Toyroom magazine to provide a front cover for the most recent issue. The brief was a painting of John Hurt`s War Doctor character from the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, screened in 2013. The image was a combination of pen and ink and traditional and digital painting. It was a very quick commission, but the final result is simple and eye-catching.
